A big, fat pipe...

After suffering for four years with a lacking frame relay "high speed" internet, I finally got seriously upgraded. I have fiber right to my house now via Verizon FiOS. Here are the before and after speeds:

Old DSL:
Download Speed: 702 kbps (87.8 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 119 kbps (14.9 KB/sec transfer rate)

FiOS:
Download Speed: 15221 kbps (1902.6 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 1798 kbps (224.8 KB/sec transfer rate)

That's a 22x improvement on download speed and 15x improvement on upload speed. Plus, it's cheaper! Call me a happy camper today!
