Engagement

The Rock
The new addition to Meg's hand

This weekend was big! I asked Meg to marry me. Luckily, she said yes! My plan luckily worked, even though I thought there might be a few setbacks. First, I told a lot of people at work what I was going to do, thinking they would never see her before my planned date. As it turns out, a work dinner was planned with significant others invited right after I told everyone. I was nervous that evening thinking someone would slip and say something, but no one did. Next, I had to do all of the preparation without her knowing. The plan was to propose while skiing at Ski Bowl, the place where we first kissed, and then surprise her again be taking her to a bed and breakfast in Hood River. This meant getting a cache of her clothes into the car without her knowing. Finally, I had to get the ring into my ski gear, again without her becoming aware of it. It all went off perfect. The day up there was a little damp and grey, but it sure warmed up, at least for us, when she said yes!

We will keep you all up to date on the wedding plans.
