Thanksgiving

All around the table
Getting 24 people stuffed around the table

This Thanksgiving had a lot of first. First time I flew with my newly minted private pilot license. First time I flew with Meg. First time Meg's parents met my parents. First time having 24 people for dinner at Grandma's. However, it all went very well.

Meg was a bit nervous with flying such a small plane, but she did it, and lived to tell the tale. It seems as if my parents and the Upshaws hit it off quite well. While people talk about a lull in the conversation every seven minutes, I don't think I ever heard a single one in that crew.

Thanksgiving dinner went very well. All 24 of us fit and there was plenty of tasty food to go around. I ate too much, and I'm proud of it. The next day, Dad, Auntie Net, Jen and James were brave enough to go flying around with me.

Saturday was a bit cloudier that I had hoped, but we were able to stay under the ceiling and had no problems getting home. The trip was very successful. I didn't have to do any emergency maneuvers in the plane, I stuffed myself, and the parents hit it off well.
